My Budget-Friendly, Exercise Besties
When I was in college and it was time to study, I always reached for my big, impossible-to-ignore headphones. That’s because they:
>>Buffered out noises so I could concentrate.
>>Clearly signaled that I was busy and didn’t have time to chat.
>>Gave me the ability to listen to music in between studying bursts.
Over the years, I’ve had all types of headphones. From expensive, name-brands to cheapo, bargain basement types, and everything in between. I stopped getting the expensive ones after more than one of my curious puppies discovered how wonderful they were to chew on and destroy.
Eventually, I stopped using headphones. When AirPods came along, I found a new love (and never left them within my dog’s reach). But I soon discovered that when I was exercising (running, jumping, sweating), those little earphones would fall out. Plus, I had to be careful not to leave the AirPods case behind somewhere at the gym (not cool).
Not sure if this is a universal problem (or just my awkward ears and terrible problem keeping track of tiny things), but I remembered my old headphones and thought: ah ha! That’s the answer.
Now, I was prepared to hunt far and wide for a pair of headphones that had Bluetooth connectivity, paired easily with my phone, looked cool and/or pretty, were super comfortable, and kind of durable. Bonus points for cheap or at least not expensive.
Enter the Zihnic Bluetooth Headphones.
When it comes to headphones, I can be a lot like Goldilocks with my requirements. Will the ones I choose make me feel:
- Too hot or too cold? Will I love them or just tolerate them?
- Too tight or too loose? Will they make my head feel like it’s in a vice or like they’ll fall off at any time?
- Dull as dishwater or just right? Will they be boring, or look stylish and fun?
After talking to my husband, daughters, family, friends, neighbors, and random strangers (and then reading reviews), I settled on the Zihnic Bluetooth Headphones. Here are some of the reasons why I decided they were just right for me.

Do not ever underestimate the importance of comfort. I’ve owned lots of headphones in my lifetime, and the things that have most often made me give away a pair of perfectly good headphones is if they pinched my head, slipped off constantly, or got tangled in my hair.

For the price, I’d be hard-pressed to find a better pair of headphones for my purposes. These are great for blocking out pesky gym noise while not being so aggressive with noise blocking that I can’t hear someone asking me if they can use my machine next, or one of the employees yelling FIRE!
I really enjoy these headphones. They’re attractive, cozy, and I love the protective case that they come in. So far, they’re also reliable, easy to use, and help me dance through my exercises (if only in my head). Sometimes I do wear them to dance (for real) while I dust or clean the house, cause that’s how I roll.
The point is, these headphones look great, sound even better, and make me happy. That’s a whole lot to ask of any product, but for the $25 I actually paid, I’d say I got a bargain. (Price them out for yourself … they’re a great deal!)
I love listening to music, comedies, podcasts or even answering the phone and chatting with my family or friends while I wear these. They’re super light, easily adjustable, and so far, durable.
Should they start falling apart (watch where they fold – always handle with care!), I’ll be sad – but I’ll most likely just get a new pair – because “low price.” With 8 different colors to choose from, I’m sure I’ll be able to find a new pair to love and rock out in.
